Kathy Liebert - From New York To Las Vegas


Born on October 1st, 1967 in Nashville, Tennessee, but raised on Long Island in New York and now lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, Kathy Liebert graduated Marist College with a degree in business and finance. In the beginning Kathy worked as a Business Analyst for Dunn and Bradstreet. The object of her work was to invest in the stock market where she developed her poker talent. In 1991 she moved to Colorado and decided to use her abilities to play Texas Holdem and she was trying her luck full-time in Central City and Black Hawk. Her first official performance was in 1994 when Kathy attacked Las Vegas - there was her first tournament - at the Gold Coast Casino.  Thanks to the skills and talent she has, the young lady won for first place. She learned the rules of the game playing weekly, and was soon enough good to become a paid player by the casinos. A paid player means a person who is sitting at the poker table to keep the action and attention going on them.

The first step was made and then it became time for Kathy Liebert to improve her knowledge of the game. She had the potential to become a real Texas Holdem star. Fortunately, Kathy continued to win at the table and today she has more than $2 million in her account.

Kathy Liebert is one of the first women money earners in the history of the tournament poker. Some of Kathys successes include - 1st place in the 2002 Party Poker Million Limit Holdem event winning an even $1,000,000, 2nd place in the 2003 World Series of Poker - $1,500 Limit Holdem event costs $91,700, and 1st place in the 2004 World Series of Poker Limit Holdem Shootout event - $110,180 and a gold bracelet. Liebert made an successful attempt to repeat her 2004 victory in the 2005 World Series of Poker Limit Holdem Shootout and ending a respectable 7th place. The cash reward for this achievement was $24,840. Kathys skills and professionalism formed her own style in Texas Holdem game, and do her best to make this game even more popular among ordinary people.

She has been ranked in Cardplayer Magazines Top 20 players four times over the years of her professional career. She was also a poker coach to the famous actor James Woods. She is not the only one person who wants to share her Texas Holdem secrets with the others. A lot of famous holdem gamblers have students and Kathy Liebert is one of them.
