Generally, we can divide the Satellite tournaments into three categories - Winner-Takes-All Satellites, Low Buy-in Satellites and High Buy-in Satellites. If you know what is the difference between them you will know how to use the situation and to take advantage over it. In the Winner-Takes-All Satellites there is only one champion. For that reason the best strategy is to play aggressively and not to be afraid to go all-in. Here your object is to win chips so, be concentrated and use all your poker knowledge.

The second kind are the Low Buy-in Satellites. The difference here is that the first 10 players will qualify for the larger tournament. Remember that it is important to increase the number of your chips, which will give an advantage at the middle stages of the competition. At the beginning you can play more loosely, but when the game is at its heights a better strategy is to play more tight.

High Buy-in Satellites require a different method of approach. Here there is one winner on every twenty players. Count on your patience and do not be so aggressive. Do not forget that you have to collect chips an at the final stage to try to eliminate the low stack players.

It can be really beneficial for you to take part in any of the Satellite Tournaments, because this is a great opportunity for you not only to win a lot of money to but to play against some of the greatest poker players ever. Who knows, maybe you will be the next World Series Of Poker winner?!
